Meditation has been found to reduce fatigue and unrefreshing sleep, and for those with post-viral infections, it has improved immunity and reduced inflammation-driven pathogenesis. Our article summarises the literature on what is known about mindfulness meditation interventions, and reviews the evidence on how it can be applied to those with Prolonged COVID and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). Evidence is reviewed suggesting that effective and sustainable outcomes can be achieved for the symptomatology and underlying pathology of post-viral fatigue (PASC and ME/CFS).
