COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you enroll

Yes. MCMI is an accredited programme under the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA). IMTA sets the benchmark for professionally recognised mindfulness teacher credentials globally. Completing MCMI makes you eligible to apply for the IMTA CMT-P — Certified Mindfulness Teacher at Professional Level — the individual credential recognised across coaching, clinical, HR, and educational sectors.

The MCMI is a 12-week online training comprising: 12 live conceptual modules (3 hours each), 12 live peer learning workshops (2 hours each), 35 hours of supervised teaching practice in your own professional or community setting, and a 5-day silent immersion retreat — included in your enrolment, with multiple date options per year. On successful completion you receive the MCMI certificate and become eligible to apply for the IMTA CMT-P credential.

Approximately 8 to 10 hours per week during the 12-week cohort. This includes 5 hours of live sessions (module + workshop), independent reading and reflection, and your teaching practice hours in your own setting. The 5-day silent retreat takes place separately at a date you choose — it is not scheduled during the 12-week cohort period.

MCMI is a 200-hour IMTA-accredited programme. For CPD purposes, the training hours, structured curriculum, and IMTA credential are recognised professional development across coaching, clinical, and educational sectors in many countries — though formal CPD recognition varies by professional body and region. Check with your specific association about how an IMTA-accredited 200-hour programme is classified under their scheme. For ICF credential renewal specifically: MCMI is not currently registered as an ICF CCE provider. ICF-credentialed coaches should check their renewal requirements directly with ICF and count only confirmed ICF-approved hours toward renewal. If you need a certificate of completion or a detailed hour breakdown for your professional body, this can be provided on request.

All live modules are recorded and available to you throughout the cohort and beyond via The Teaching Circle. Missing a module does not forfeit your access to the content. Peer learning workshops are live practice-teaching sessions where attendance is expected — they cannot be replicated by recording — though we understand that professional constraints arise and will handle absences on a case-by-case basis.

Billing is always in EUR. Stripe processes the payment and converts automatically — you will be charged in your local currency at the exchange rate on the date of your payment. The GBP and USD figures shown on this page are approximate equivalents at the current rate, updated periodically. The exact amount in GBP or USD will reflect the rate on your specific payment date. There is no additional currency conversion fee charged by MindCoachers.

A 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date of enrolment — you may cancel for a full refund within this window, no questions asked. After 14 days, a non-refundable €500 Enrolment Commitment Fee applies. The remaining balance is refundable on a sliding scale: 100% if you cancel 30+ days before the cohort start, 50% if 14–29 days before, and no refund after that. If your circumstances change and you cannot proceed, you can request in writing that the €500 be credited toward a future MCMI cohort — we review these requests on a case by case basis. Full details in our [Terms & Conditions →].
